RURAL BANKING TRAINING CENTRE

Gurgaon Gramin Bank has its own training Centre, the Rural Banking Training Centre (RBTC) which is housed in the Head Office premises of the Bank. The Bank is one of the 6 prestigious RRBs of the country, which has its own Staff Training Centre.

In the today’s rapidly changing and challenging Banking scenario it is of vital significance to ensure that knowledge level, effectiveness and confidence of employees is enhanced on a continuous basis to enable them to perform and cope up with the increasing competition.

ADMINISTRATIVE SET UP

Administrative set up of the training center comprises of the following:

TRAINING ADVISORY COMMITTEE

To finalize long range training plans a training advisory committee has been constituted which consists of following members:

  1. Sh. S Indirajith, Chairman of Gurgaon Gramin Bank as Chairman of the committee.
  2. Sh. H V Bharamgoudar & Sh. Pramod Kaushik, General Manager.
  3. Sh. S.P. Khambra, Director, Rural Banking Training Centre.
  4. Sh. S K Vats, Chief Manager, Personnel.
  5. Sh. Nazim Kamal. Chief Manager, IT Department

The training Centre conducts training programmes on various important subjects, which includes the following:

  1. Human Resources Development - Change Management, Personality Development, Time Management, Leadership, Decision making, Effective team building, etc.
  2. Credit Management - Credit products of the Bank, Credit policy of the Bank, Credit Appraisal techniques, Credit Risk Management, Follow-up & Supervision of advances, Micro financing, Basel frame work, etc.
  3. Recovery Management - NPA Management, Recovery policy of the Bank, SARFAESI Act, Recovery through legal frame work, etc.
  4. Information Technology - Application of IT in Banking, Total Branch automation, Core Banking Solutions, etc.
  5. Finance - Accounting Concepts, Analysis of financial statements, Asset Liability Management, etc.
  6. Inspection and vigilance - Preventive vigilance, Internal control & House Keeping, Inspection rectification.
Induction & Orientation programmes.

Training programmes are conducted for all cadres of staff right from Messengers to Scale-IV Managers. The programme contents are designed keeping in view the corporate objectives. Whenever any new developments take place in banking scenario, the training Centre conducts special programmes to acquaint staff of the changes.

The faculty of training Centre also visit branches and conduct Organizational Development Intervention (ODI) porgrammes i.e. In-Branch Training Programmes to guide staff on important banking issues and to clear their doubts. The training Centre conducts pre-promotion training programmes and pre-examination training programmes for SC/STs as per GOI stipulations before conducting promotion process/recruitment process.

COMPUTER LAB
To enable staff of the Bank to work in computerized environment and have hands on training, Bank has established its own Computer Lab. Computer lab of the Bank is equipped with appropriate software systems to impart training programmes on Core Banking Solutions (CBS).

The training Centre is doing a significant job in systematically grooming the staff by developing their talent to take up leadership in critical positions.
